Hobby Holidays and QU1LT

We started Hobby Holidays in 2005 to offer workshops given by expert tutors in our chosen hobbies. The tutors would bemonstrate a technique or product and we would have to sell it. Things have moved on since then and we are now older and our product range has grown and taken over not only our time, but also the workshop space. Hence we can no longer run workshops. As of Jan 2019 all the patchwork and quilting supplies have moved to a new website www.qu1lt.co.uk.

All the Model railway products are still here and the although a few products disappear due to either lack of interest or now un-available, the range is still growing, and now has over 4000 different products

Postage	Although our website will combine postage for multiple items it only works on weight and the post office has changed to a weight and size calculation. We can send a few sheets of metal for £2.75 but 1 ping pong ball will cost £4.50. However 50 ping pong balls will also cost £4.50. So Please Please Please ask if you feel our website is charging too much, it has to add some packing weight and does so for every item although the same packing could be used for all the items. If the website does overcharge I will refund the excess. Most small items (Brass setions, Etches, Fat Qtrs etc ) will go first class post for £2.75. Most thicker/larger items will go for £4.50. Post office banned substances will go via a courier for the same money, but takes a few days longer. Also larger, very heavy or expensive items will also go by courier (it is a lot cheaper than Parcel Force and special delivery). International postage/parcels will be at cost inc and packing materials. Please note as of 1 Jan 2021 customers still in the EU may be charged extra at time of delivery. This is not us but your country charging an import duty and possibly a processing charge. We are not registered for VAT. If you require a signed for service or some thing special, please ask, we are happy to accomodate if we can. Also any special instuctions for the postman, delivery driver, or me can left during checkout.
Returns	If faulty, items will be replaced or money refunded. If undesired we do accept returns providing goods are still in there origional unopened packaging, ie we can re-sell.
Security	We currently don't do any e-mail or other forms of marketing. We only store contact details for people who have contacted us. We do not give, sell or do anything with your info. Credit/debit card information is only taken over the phone and destroyed straight after use. However payment with card can be done via PayPal, but we do not get any of your card info.
Visiting	We are not a High St shop however customers are always welcome. All we ask is you ring before you set off, not specifically to make an appointment, but we could be at an exhibition, shopping, doctors, or anything. Everthing is in boxes, but we are happy to pull anything out, and give advice on anything. Please see Map
Packing	We try to re-use all the packing materials that our suppliers send, but we have to be careful
Payment methods	We accept cash at exhibitions and in the shop Most credit and Debit cards (not business, excecutive, diners or Amex) Bank transfer by internet banking (Ask for account details) And PAYPAL (you do not need a paypal account to pay paypal although they don't make it easy ) For International customers we find PAYPAL is the cheapest and most convient with low currency conversion charges and no problems with disparete Credit/debit card systems
