Plasticard Modelling with Geoff Kent
Geoff Kent has produced some fantasic models in Plasticard, his present EM layout has won many prizes at exhibitions. With books on the subject and articles in MRJ Geoff is the perfect guy to show you how to model in plasticard.
The plan for the 2 days will follow our standard pattern where for those travelling a fair distance, we can offer an evening meal on the Friday along with B&B either in our Grade II listed farmhouse or in another local B&B.
Modelling on Sat & Sun will start at around 9.00am after a leisurely breakfast.A light lunch will be provided. After lunch, you can either crack on or take some time off to do some sight seeing. With a flexable finish on the Saturday evening you could fit in a little more than modelling if you so desired. Dinner can be provided on site or directions given to a local pub. Sunday is more of the same, with good wholesome food, and at around 4pm on Sun we wish you a safe journey home. Tea, coffee, biscuits & cakes are all provided free during the two days.
During the 2 days it is hoped to cover most, if not all of the techniques used in plasticard modelling for both railway stock and Architecture. We are planning to give you a small selection of things to make that will encompass most of the techniques, so not only will you walk away with something to show for the weekend, but more importantly with a set of skills which you can practice and develop at home.
We already sell plasticard and Mek-Pak and we should have a stock of knives, blades, scrapers etc by the time of the workshop, but you are more than welcome to bring your own materials and tools.
